What motivates you?

Let's talk about your Motivation Strategy – that unconscious force that keeps you moving forward on your journey.
It's pretty darn important, wouldn't you agree?

While many motivation tactics are positive – like mantras, vision boards, and inspirational quotes – there are also plenty that aren't so great.

I've noticed that too many people I know rely on negative self-talk to push themselves forward. They'll internally berate or shame themselves until the guilt forces them into action. Sure, it might work like a charm in the short term, but the long-term effects? Not so pretty. It often leads to procrastination or outright failure.

Think about it: If you had a trainer constantly hurling insults at you – "What's wrong with you, you lazy idiot? Get your butt to the gym! Stop dragging your feet, you lazy pig, and just do it!" – how long until you tune them out completely?

Now, think about how you talk to yourself; how you motivate yourself.

Are your self-talk and inner dialogue empowering? And if not, how long until you stop listening and start labeling yourself as a "lazy procrastinator"?
